Considered to be one of the last great American crooners, singer Tony Bennett has died.
Born in New York, New York in 1926, Bennett released his first album in 1952 and went on to win 20 Grammy Awards and sell more than 50 million records worldwide.
The jazz and pop singer recorded with a who's who of musicians of the 20th and 21st Centuries, ranging from Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga and amassed many accolades throughout his career.
Although Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2016, he continued to perform until August of 2021, when he retired from concerts due to physical challenges.
Bennett was 96.
