A new family-friendly film is set to hit theatres this fall.
Roadside Attractions, PZAJ, and Called Higher Studios are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Camp Hideout.
Starring Corbin Bleu (High School Musical), Amanda Leighton (This is Us), Ethan Drew (Camp Hideout), and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Camp Hideout shares the story of friendship, belonging, and the transformative power of the camp experience.
“I’m always looking for stories my family can enjoy together. Noah’s story of a kid searching for belonging and the power of friendship are lessons I aim to inspire in my own kids–and are what I’ve made as my mission in production,” said Camp Hideout producer Jason Brown.
The film revolves around a foster teen named Noah who, after finding himself in trouble, chooses summer camp over juvenile hall. An optimistic camp leader is able to lift Noah's pessimistic attitude, allowing him to open up and bond with his fellow campers. When all seems well, the “bad guys” show up at camp in search of Noah to take back what he stole.
Noah and his fellow campers band together to construct a funhouse hideout in the woods, packed with booby traps, zip lines, and bees. In a “change of heart,” cold-hearted Falco warms to the campers and steps in to help. Together they all learn a valuable lesson about sticking together.
"The film will take audiences back to the nostalgic memories and adventures from their own camp experiences. This is a film for families and audiences of all ages," remarked Roadside Attractions' Co-President Howard Cohen. “With the recent success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and with the anticipation of the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, it’s evident nostalgia is making a comeback.”
Camp Hideout will hit theatres nationwide on September 15.
