Races start at 7:00 p.m. Friday (June 20) and 6:00 p.m. Saturday (June 21), with food trucks, family fun, and a pit full of cars ready to battle it out on the west-of-Morden oval.

Here’s how to celebrate the Winkler graduating class of 2025

Winkler’s streets will be full of energy and excitement Wednesday, June 18, as the annual Winkler Grad Parade takes over the city starting at 7:30 p.m. The event begins at Winkler Park and will feature students from both Northlands Parkway Collegiate (NPC) and Garden Valley Collegiate (GVC) dressed in their grad best and riding in decorated floats, classic cars, and decked-out trucks.

The parade is a community tradition that gives residents a chance to celebrate the graduating class and show them they’re supported as they move into the next chapter of life.

Nineteen-year-old Kam Thomas, a hometown forward entering his second season with the Flyers, has been named captain for the 2025–26 season. It’s a moment that holds deep personal meaning—not just for Kam, but for his entire family. His father, Chris Thomas, wore the very same “C” during the 1996–97 season as captain of the Flyers. Now, nearly three decades later, the Thomas legacy comes full circle.
