When the residents of Weyburn-Bengough go to the polls in the provincial election, they will have five candidates to choose from. The candidate for the Saskatchewan Party will be a new face for the riding, as Weyburn lawyer Mike Weger is running.
Weger has been in Weyburn practising law for 15 years and has been the president of the Saskatchewan Party’s constituency association for eight.

Moose Jaw NDP candidates hold healthcare presser at Athabasca St. campaign office
Cheantelle Fisher and Melissa Patterson, the provincial NDP candidates for Moose Jaw North and Moose Jaw Wakamow respectively, were joined by MLA Nicole Sarauer and Moose Javian Brayden Dutchak on Thursday for a press conference at the NDP’s Athabasca Street campaign office.
Sarauer has been the MLA for Regina Douglas Park since 2016, and currently serves as the NDP House Leader in the Legislative Assembly.

Weyburn Chamber getting set for All-Candidate Forum
With the provincial election coming up at the end of October, the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will be providing a forum for the candidates in the Weyburn-Bengough riding to answer questions from the Chamber, as well as the general public.
Steele looking forward to campaign chats
It's Day 2 of the Saskatchewan election as conversations are taking place across the province.
Cypress Hills MLA Doug Steele is entering his third campaign after first getting elected in 2016.
"There's a lot of things I like to speak with our constituents over right now," said Steele. "The world is in a crazy space and the province of Saskatchewan I feel we've been strong and moving forward, so I'm looking forward to meeting with constituents as we move around down the campaign trail."
