Province investing over $2M in Spruce Woods Park upgrades
The Manitoba government is investing more than $2 million to improve Spruce Woods Provincial Park in the Westman region.
Environment and Climate Change Minister Mike Moyes makes the announcement at the park and says the investment reflects the province’s commitment to better outdoor spaces for families.
Duck Dynasty family grows again as Jep and Jessica announce grandchild on the way
The Duck Dynasty family is expanding once again.
Over the weekend, Jessica and Jep Robertson announced that their 18-year-old daughter, Priscilla, will welcome a new grandchild in October.
"This isn’t the plans we had laid out for Priscilla, but God takes our meagre offerings and turns them into His greatest blessings!" said Jessica and Jep in a post on social media. "We are so proud that Priscilla & Dillon chose life for their baby, and we will all be rewarded with this precious baby girl!"

Conservative MPs publicly support Freedom Convoy organizers ahead of sentencing
Several Conservative MPs are criticizing the Crown's approach to prosecuting two key organizers of the Freedom Convoy protests, with the party's deputy leader calling it an act of "political vengeance."
Tamara Lich and Chris Barber were convicted of mischief in April for their roles in organizing the demonstration, which blockaded streets around Parliament Hill for more than three weeks in early 2022.
Barber was also convicted of counselling others to disobey a court order.
Police safely locate 22-year old man previously missing
The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is thanking the public after finding a missing 22-year-old man from Winnipeg.
Previously, a Winnipeg man was last seen on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at about 11:50 p.m. in the Bridgwater area of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
On July 22, 2025, the WPS shared that the man has been found safely.

There are numerous riddles in life that remain wrapped in mystery and shrouded inside an enigma.
The sea, for example, is an unexplainable phenomenon. Who can fathom its tide affected strangely by the moon...? We manage to continue on, though brilliant scientists have been trying to solve and/or explain life's mysteries for years...
but when God leaves us with a mystery that isn't solved in a week or two, most of us go through desperate struggles believing that He is good or fair.
Severe storm threat continues across southern Manitoba as warnings fluctuate
A series of weather alerts from Environment Canada are keeping residents of southern Manitoba on high alert Monday evening, as severe thunderstorms swept across the region and tornado warnings were issued, lifted, and reissued.

By 6:58 p.m. CDT, a tornado warning was in place for the R.M. of Macdonald, including Brunkild, Starbuck and La Salle, and the R.M. of Morris, including Rosenort and Aubigny.
Stormy skies ahead: Thunderstorm watch follows air quality alert in Winnipeg
While the air quality warning has ended for the City of Winnipeg, there is now a severe thunderstorm watch.
Environment Canada issued the watch at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, saying, "Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain."
The watch is expected to end for the City of Winnipeg Monday evening as thunderstorms move southward into the Red River Valley.
