‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ lands Brandon Lake his first country music nod

The Country Music Association (CMA) and its awards show include nominations for crossover songs, such as the recent single by Brandon Lake featuring Jelly Roll, "Hard Fought Hallelujah."

The CMAs are celebrating their 59th awards event this year, and earlier this week, they made the announcement for all the nominations. 

"What the heck?!!" said Lake. "What an honor! So thankful to Jelly Roll for carrying this song with me. Thank you, Country Music for recognizing what’s happening with this song and collaboration. And to God be all the glory!”

Ministry continues in the face of child involvement in Haitian gangs

According to a recent UN report, children now make up about half of the members of gangs in Haiti, being used as couriers, lookouts, and porters, as well as being exploited for domestic labor and even forced into combat roles.

Greg Yoder of Christian World Outreach says, while he doesn’t personally know of any cases, he’s not surprised.

Lauren Daigle partners with IJM in fight against child exploitation

Yesterday, Christian artist Lauren Daigle went on national television to share her heart in the fight against human trafficking, especially when it comes to children being exploited. 

Daigle appeared on Fox & Friends to talk about Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and why she is on Capitol Hill.

"We are advocating for IJM and all the beautiful children around the world," Daigle said on camera. "We're trying to get the word out to advocate for the Stop CSAM Act. I'm really excited to be spending this time on Capitol Hill today."

Conservative advocate Charlie Kirk was killed by a gunman at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, President Donald Trump paid tribute to the leader via social media calling him great and legendary.

Kirk was the co-founder and president of Turning Point USA, a non-profit aimed at spreading conservative principles on high school and college campuses.

'I’m mobile': Crowder back on tour with a scooter and a smile

After being laid up due to a broken leg, Crowder has returned to the stage, albeit in a different way. 

In an effort to make sure he can still worship with crowds while on tour and continue to heal, Crowder is using a motorized scooter.

"Folks, we’re back!!" said Crowder in a post on social media. "Feels great to be out there on the road singing songs to God with y’all."

Russian pastor sentenced to 4 years in labour camp for anti-war sermon

A 63-year-old Russian pastor has been sentenced to four years in a prison labour camp after delivering a sermon opposing Moscow’s war in Ukraine, according to a Sept. 5 report from International Christian Concern.

On Sept. 3, Pastor Nikolay Romanyuk was found guilty of making “public calls to implement activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation,” Forum 18 reported.

U of M students invited to grow in faith through Power to Change

A student group at the University of Manitoba exists to help students grow closer to Jesus, no matter their faith background.

Kevin Huska has been a part of Power to Change (P2C) since 1991, first as a student and now on staff. "I got involved as a student learning how to share my faith. I'm now a staff member and I've been doing that for a number of years, coaching the next generation of students."
