Four days after Friends star Matthew Perry's death, conversations he's had about Christianity are re-surfacing. 

Perry has been open about struggles and addictions which he shared with SirusXM. "The first time I prayed, it was the prayer of a 14-year-old and I was 24," he said, referring he prayed, "God, do whatever You want to me; just please make me famous."

About two weeks later, he was cast for Friends.

Manitoba-raised artist, Mike Janzen, has released his third album of Psalm interpretations, Songs From The Canyon.

"After a couple years of hard work, a ton of great musicians, and a never-quit producer, Tim Abraham, Songs from the Canyon (Psalms Vol. III) is officially out!!! The album has a really beautiful, cinematic feel to it and I'm really thrilled with the production," Mike Janzen shared in a social media post. 

Chris Tomlin gets good news getting on a plane

Chris Tomlin was getting on a plane when he was told something that he wasn't expecting. 

“I am truly at a loss for words… I hopped on a plane yesterday to start a tour that is completely sold out and found out on the flight that ‘Holy Forever’ has been nominated for a Billboard Music Award…” Tomlin shared to The Christian Beat.

After Death launches with a historic documentary opening box office performance

A documentary created by a local filmmaker had a successful opening.

Stephen Gray's After Death hit 2,000 theatres across Canada and the United States on Oct. 27 and came out #4 at the box office, taking in $5,060,815 and making it the #12 highest-grossing opening for a documentary.

Former Petra drummer scammed out of thousands of dollars

Louie Weaver, former drummer for the popular Christian rock band Petra, is picking up the pieces after falling victim to a scam.

On Wednesday, the band posted on their Facebook page asking for prayers for Louie.

"Prayers are appreciated for Louie Weaver. He fell victim to a scam targeting business owners in Tennessee," said the band in the post.
