Two dams burst in Libya on Sunday during Storm Daniel with barely any warning. The tremendous floodwaters swept away whole buildings in the Libyan town of Derna.

At least 11,300 people are confirmed dead, but that number could be as high as 20,000 with many still missing. Now there is also a fear of disease with contaminated water in the streets.

There is still no electricity in Derna and communication is severely hampered. Local media calls it catastrophic. The situation is making it difficult for family and friends to contact missing loved ones if they are still alive.

Tasha Layton has released a new single celebrating freedom from fear and worry.

The new song, 'Lay It Down,' is a pop ballad echoing the promise of Jesus: “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30).

Well-known author and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Tony Evans, surprised his congregation on Sunday, announcing that he is engaged. 

Leading up to the fourth anniversary of his wife's death, 74-year-old Pastor Evans brought his family to the stage, honouring his late wife before making the announcement. 

Brandon Lake has released a new single in anticipation of his latest album, Coat Of Many Colors.

The single, which shares the name of the album, takes on the theme of different colours and what they represent. 

The album is Lake's third, and will be released on Oct. 20, 2023. 

The artist has already won five Grammy Awards, and will likely be in the running for more award nominations with the release.

Lake just finished a tour with Phil Wickham and is getting set to hit the road again, this time with Lauren Daigle through the fall.

It's been over a decade since Amy Grant last released an album, but that lapse in time will end next month when Grant releases her latest project, Lead Me On Live 1989.

This new 18-track album was originally recorded in 1988-1989 in Fort Worth, Texas, during her Lead Me on World Tour. 

Christian singer and songwriter Leanna Crawford is officially married.

The artist, best known for her songs, 'Truth I'm Standing On' and 'How Can You Not,' married NBA player Cody Zeller two weeks ago on August 26, 2023, in a small, intimate wedding in Nashville, Tennessee.

The pair were engaged about a year ago, with Zeller proposing to Crawford while out for a hike.  

Monday marks the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in this deadliest terrorist attack ever on American soil. The tragic events of that day was the Pearl Harbor of a generation. Seniors graduating from college earlier this year were born in 2001. Many of them may not remember the events of that day. Nonetheless, the 9/11 attacks significantly shaped their childhood and the world they grew up in.

The dynamic, multicultural youth ministry of Planetshakers Church, planetboom, is releasing a brand new single today, called “I Was Made For This - Demo.”

The new studio recording was produced by creative director Josh Ham, who also co-wrote the song with fellow planetboom worship leader Noah Walker, who is the featured vocalist on the track.
