'A moment of rebirth' :Jesus Revolution in theatres nationwide

In 2015, while researching another film, Jon Erwin stumbled upon a Time magazine with a psychedelic portrait of Jesus and the words Jesus Revolution. This inspired him to bring the true story to life. 

"I'm like, what is this? I read the article, and it was this buoyant, hopeful, optimistic take on sweeping spiritual awakening that was happening all across America, specifically with college students, high school students and hippies," Jon Erwin, director of Jesus Revolution, explained. 

Building 429 band member's daughter gets standing ovation after American Idol audition

Jason Roy, a guitar player from Christian band Building 429 recently played guitar as his daughter Haven Madison sang an original song for the American Idol judges. 

At just 16 years old, Madison performed her original single 'Fifteen' for judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan.

"Let's go to the studio right now," says Richie, standing up, after Madison finished her song. "Can we go to the studio and cut that song?"

Joy Smith helping raise awareness for human trafficking with new initiative

February 22 is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day which has the Joy Smith Foundation launching a new national initiative.

"The campaign we have is designed to educate people about the common signs that someone may be at risk of being groomed for human trafficking and lured into the sex trade," says founder Joy Smith. "We are having a joint launch with the Winnipeg Police Service and Manitoba RCMP."
