From busking to centre stage, Hillsong artist releasing solo project
Hillsong UNITED's Benjamin Hastings is releasing a solo album, touching on the mental battles he's faced over the past year.
Hastings was recently nominated for a Dove Award for a song he wrote for Hillsong UNITED, called 'Know You Will.' It was nominated for Worship Recorded Song of the Year.
While on the red carpet at the event, Hastings shared his journey of writing this latest venture, Benjamin Williams Hastings. The album has 25 songs on it and will be released in full on November 4, 2022.

Beloved American-Canadian theologian Gordon Fee dies at 88
Noted New Testament scholar and theologian Gordon Fee has died at the age of 88.
He died on Tuesday, October 25, at his home in New York City.
Fee was born in Ashland, Oregon, in 1934 to a Pentecostal preacher, Donald Horace Fee, and Gracy Irene Jacobson. He would become an ordained minister in the Pentecostal denomination, Assemblies of God. After a few teaching stints at Christian universities in the USA, he and his wife, Maudine, moved to Vancouver where he taught at Regent College for 16 years. Fee was named Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Regent.

For one year and four months, 11 female students have been held hostage in Nigeria after most of their classmates were released, including five Christian teenagers.
In June 2021, Islamic extremist militants kidnapped 70 students from the Federal Government Girls College, Birnin Yauri, in Kebbi state, which is in northeastern Nigeria.
Initially, the Nigerian government made negotiations with the group at which point 59 teenage girls were set free. However, 11 remain in the extremist's custody and why they are still there is unknown.
Lecrae visits Holy Land, reminding him why he raps about God
A visit to the Sea of Galilee and watching people get baptized in the Jordan River were places of impact on Christian rapper Lecrae during his recent visit to the Holy Land.
"I finished my lasted project (Church Clothes 4) and headed straight to the Lands of the Bible," says Lecrae on Facebook. "This has been a powerful trip that helps me put it all in perspective."
His brand new album Church Clothes 4 is set to be released on November 4.

More Canadians than ever have no religious affiliation, census shows
Statistics Canada says 34.6 per cent of people in this country have no religious affiliation — more than ever before.
The last time Canadians were surveyed on religion, in 2011, 23.9 per cent selected "no religion."
The latest tranche of data from the 2021 Census also shows the highest proportion of the population — 53.3 per cent — identifies as Christian, but that is down from 67.3 per cent in 2011.
StatCan says last year's survey presents the most comprehensive portrait of Canadians' religious affiliations to date.
