Many know the Hollywood actor Mr. T for his intense on-screen roles, but this Sunday his congregation got to see a whole other side during his sermon.
Mr. T, whose real name is Laurence Tureaud, attends a church in Chicago, Illinois, called Cosmopolitan Community Church. This past Sunday he delivered the message about doubting Thomas in the Bible.
"Let me set the record straight right here, Thomas was not the only disciple that doubt. As a matter of fact, many of you are doubting Jesus right now!" Mr. T told the congregation.
Jets chaplain weighs in on Friday home opener
According to the Winnipeg Jets chaplain, the team is heading into their season opener this evening filled with hope.
"Anytime opening season in any sport, hope springs eternal," says Lorne Korol, the chaplain of the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose teams. "I think this year in particular, this hockey club who, I think goes into it a bit with a chip on their shoulder after having a tough season last year, there is a lot of positive energy, exuberance and hope."
The Winnipeg Jets ended their last season with 39 wins and 32 losses.
