According to new research, roughly half of today's teenagers feel positively about Jesus. 

A report from Barna Group out of California asked questions about the Bible and faith to teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19 from 26 different countries.

Family and congregants are still searching for answers after a Ukrainian pastor and his wife were allegedly kidnapped by Russian forces after they refused to cooperate with the occupying military.

Armed and masked men in military uniform seized Baptist pastor Leonid Ponomaryov and his wife Tatyana on September 21 from their home in Russian-occupied Mariupol, reports Forum 18, a research organization specializing in religious freedom and based in Oslo, Norway.

Many know the Hollywood actor Mr. T for his intense on-screen roles, but this Sunday his congregation got to see a whole other side during his sermon. 

Mr. T, whose real name is Laurence Tureaud, attends a church in Chicago, Illinois, called Cosmopolitan Community Church. This past Sunday he delivered the message about doubting Thomas in the Bible. 

"Let me set the record straight right here, Thomas was not the only disciple that doubt. As a matter of fact, many of you are doubting Jesus right now!" Mr. T told the congregation.

According to the Winnipeg Jets chaplain, the team is heading into their season opener this evening filled with hope. 

"Anytime opening season in any sport, hope springs eternal," says Lorne Korol, the chaplain of the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose teams. "I think this year in particular, this hockey club who, I think goes into it a bit with a chip on their shoulder after having a tough season last year, there is a lot of positive energy, exuberance and hope."

The Winnipeg Jets ended their last season with 39 wins and 32 losses. 

Canadian Foodgrains Bank is encouraging the public to join them in a day of prayer to help them address the hunger crisis the world is experiencing in honour of World Good Day.

World Food Day occurs every year on October 16 and aims to bring awareness around the world to the global hunger crisis. It hopes to draw people's attention to the crisis and to seek change and action.

On September 25, Super Typhoon Noru, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Karding, hit Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. The storm was the biggest one to hit the area this year and is affecting half a million Filipinos.
