The entire illustrated Bible, exhibited in the Luther House

The Luther House in the German city of Eisenach is hosting an exhibition of the reproduction of the Wiedmann Bible, the only painted Bible that completely reproduces the Old and New Testaments.

The Wiedmann Bible was made by the artist Willy Wiedmann (1929-2013) and it is the longest painted Bible in the world. It consists of 3,333 pictures that he painted over 16 years.

Springs Church fined after pleading guilty to breaking health orders for grad ceremony

A Winnipeg church has been fined $9,000 in relation to a college graduation ceremony last year which it now admits broke public health orders in Manitoba.

Springs Church posted pictures of a grad ceremony for its Springs College students on May 20, 2021. It quickly sparked controversy in the province as tight restrictions were in place for public gatherings at the time due to COVID-19.

The three siblings Christian band CAIN recently welcomed a little one to their crew, and are thrilled to add more to the family. 

CAIN is made up of three siblings, two sisters and a brother, including Madison Cain Johnson, Taylor Cain Matz, and Logan Cain. 

Each sibling is married. Logan and his wife Emily just welcomed their baby girl into the world two months ago in March. Their daughter's name is River James Cain.

Christian billionaire philanthropist Bill Hwang charged with ‘historic’ stock scam

Bill Hwang was hailed as part of a new evangelical donor-class for donating nearly $80 million to dozens of evangelical ministries.

But his fortune — which, it turned out, was based on lies, heavy borrowing and risky stock bets — blew up in March 2021, when he was unable to pay creditors. Over three days, $100 billion in shareholder value disappeared, causing stocks to plummet and banks to lose more than $10 billion.

Christians killed in Nigeria, including 2 children, after radical Islamic attack

Islamic Fulani herdsmen recently opened fire upon a group of Christians in Nigeria’s Borno state, leaving eight dead and more wounded. 

According to reports from International Christian Concern (ICC), the radical Islamic militants had AK-47 rifles and shouted, "Allah Akbar [Allah is the greatest]" while firing upon the group. Two that died were suspected to be under 5-years-old. ICC staff saw a two-year-old gun shot wound survivor whose mother died during the attack.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby recently met with Indigenous community leaders and residential school survivors in Toronto to work toward true reconciliation after offering an apology for the Anglican church's role in residential schools. 

"Why did it take the churches and the government so long to bring out this apology? Don’t they know the schools closed in 1970?" asked Geronimo Henry, a residential school survivor. "That’s when they should have come and gathered us all up and said they were sorry. But they never."

It was around 10 years ago that Lisa Appelo's life changed forever. 

"On what seemed like an ordinary Friday morning, I woke up to my husband's funny breathing," said Lisa.
