Nathan Keys releases new single, talks baby on the way

Local worship leader Nathan Keys is releasing a new single today titled 'The Way, the Truth, the Life.'

Keys is a worship leader at Southlands Community Church, a Salvation Army congregation, in Winnipeg. He was born and raised initially in Ireland but moved to Canada in 2007. 

"I'm just always drawn to writing songs about God's holiness," says Keys. "I love being able to proclaim that we are set apart for God, and this song is no different."

Benjamin William Hastings has released a new live version of his popular single, 'Abandoned' featuring Brandon Lake. 

The studio version of "Abandoned" was released on Jan. 12 and quickly became Hastings' highest debut single to date with more than half a million streams since its release. 

"This is a surrender song," Hastings reveals about its theme. "It's coming from the perspective of everything God has done for us and the ways in which He surrendered and modeled that for us. How would we not do the same?"

A Colorado pastor and his wife admitted online to scamming Christians out of $3.2 million worth of cryptocurrency, spending over a million on themselves. 

Eligio "Eli" Regalado and his wife Kaitlyn released a YouTube video, in which they confessed to selling worthless cryptocurrency to 300 Christians recruited to invest in INDXcoin. 

Do it Anyway: Tasha Cobbs Leonard shares her challenges in debut book

Grammy award-winning artist Tasha Cobbs Leonard is getting set to release a book. 

Through the years, the iconic gospel singer has experienced numerous challenges, including infertility, weight challenges, grief and debilitating depression.

"Ten years ago, my family and I, and several artists, travelled back home from Nashville, Tennessee, having celebrated the Stella Awards, gospel's biggest night," said Cobbs Leonard. "As we were travelling, I got a phone call. I found out that my father had suffered a heart attack and had transitioned to be with the Lord."

Michigan University football team sees 70 players baptized

During the March for Life in Washington, D.C. last week, head coach Jim Harbaugh shared the exciting news that 70 of his players chose to be baptized last year. 

"There's a spiritual mission to our team and I'm inspired by them," says Harbaugh during an interview with Jon Root at the march. "The young players on our team are incredible examples."

There are just over 100 players on the roster of the University of Michigan football team, the Wolverines. That means over half the players were inspired to take this step of faith last year. 

Springs Church launches campaign to expand Winnipeg campus

Springs Church has launched a campaign to expand its Winnipeg campus. 

The church says their school, Springs Christian Academy, is currently bursting at the seams at both campuses, and within the next two years, both their Youville and Lagimodiere Campuses are expected to outgrow their existing facilities.

Chinese Pastor sentenced to 14 years in prison for house church

A 60-year-old pastor, his wife, and a few congregants were allegedly beaten and have been sentenced to jail time for 'spreading superstition.'

Pastor Kan Xiaoyong and his wife Wang Fengying moved from Wuhan to Dalian City in 2018 to start their ministry, the Home Discipleship Network. The online ministry platform gained a large national following and according to sources, it was this and its unofficial status that posed a threat to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Chart- topping artist Micah Tyler releases new version of 'People Like Us'

Chart-topping artist and songwriter Micah Tyler has released a new version of the title track of his latest project, People Like Us.

The new version features Fair Trade Services' new artist, Emerson Day.

“When I was asked to be featured on this song, I was so excited and so humbled and honoured to be a part of the message that it shares. It does not matter where we are or what we are going through in our lives - God’s love for us never changes," said Emerson.
