With all the snow that southern Saskatchewan has been getting, it's been a great season for local snowmobile riders.

Over 11,000 kilometres of trails are maintained and groomed by volunteers with 53 clubs across the province.

The local group, the Souris River Snowmobile Association, has maps available HERE.

Canadian Blood Services says there is an immediate need for donors from all communities to book and keep appointments and help restore and grow the blood and plasma supply for patients this winter season.

Premier Scott Moe issued a statement late last week about Sunwing's cancelled operations in Saskatoon and Regina until February.

"This is a very irresponsible decision by Sunwing for everyone who has booked a vacation, particularly those who are currently at their destination and are uncertain how and when they will get home.

Saskatchewan’s top men's curling teams are coming to Moose Jaw this weekend (Dec 9-11).

The Moose Jaw SCT Tour Spiel (Saskatchewan Men’s Curling Tour Event) will be hosted for a tenth year at the Moose Jaw Curling Centre at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. 

Many familiar names, including former provincial curling champions, will be competing for a total prize purse of $6,000.

Last night was the first night of the 76th Annual Rotary Carol Festival at the Zion United Church.

The event is hosted by the Moose Jaw Rotary Club and features choirs from across Moose Jaw and the surrounding area performing Christmas favourites.
