UPDATE: Crew bus from Shania Twain tour involved in rollover on Trans-Canada

3:32 p.m. - The RCMP have confirmed the 13 people who were on the bus were all taken to hospital, and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

It has been reported by CTV Regina the bus involved in the rollover was the crew bus for Shania Twain's current tour, which performed in Winnipeg last night. 

Maverick Management confirmed with CTV Regina it was a bus involved with the tour, and issued a statement.

Saskatchewan RCMP concerned as fatal collisions surge exponentially

"Yes, the number of fatal collisions increased exponentially in recent weeks, and yes, we are concerned."

Those words are from the officer in charge of the Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Services, Superintendent Grant St. Germaine, as the RCMP reported 22 fatal collisions in their jurisdiction from September 1st to October 25th. This averaged out to a fatal collision every 2.5 days. In the time period from January 1st to August 31st - eight months - there were 36 fatal collisions.

Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre introduced a motion for debate on the floor of the House of Commons Thursday, and it will go for a vote Monday.

Rising fatal collisions: Southeast Saskatchewan's challenge

Along with the rest of Saskatchewan, there has been a substantial increase in the number of fatal collisions on highways in southeast Saskatchewan. Throughout the province, there have been 22 fatal collisions in the past two months – six of those in southeast Saskatchewan. With the province’s RCMP responding to a fatal collision roughly every 2.5 days since September 1st, this is a sharp increase from the first eight months of the year, where there were a total of 36 fatal collisions.  

Moe: SaskEnergy to halt carbon tax collection on natural gas

Just days after the federal government announced a pause on the carbon tax for home heating oil, as well as higher carbon tax rebates for those living in rural areas, the Premier of Saskatchewan, has fired back about what will happen in Saskatchewan. 

In an address released on social media, Scott Moe called on the federal government to remove the carbon tax on all home heating in Canada, no matter the source.
