Grass fire calls emergency crews to Neubergthal on a windy Wednesday afternoon
Altona/Rhineland Emergency Services were called to a grass fire late Wednesday afternoon.
According to Fire Chief Greg Zimmerman, the incident occurred at a rural home in Neubergthal. No structures were damaged.

Four people were brought to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14, west of Plum Coulee, Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews, including the Plum Coulee Fire Department, were called to the scene, at Road 15W, around 5:50 p.m. STARS Air Ambulance was also called in, landing on the highway.

Generous community gesture makes 18-year-old cancer patient’s wish a reality
For Emily Bennett, life is a bit different than for others her age.
The 18-year-old lives with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Bennett receives her treatment at Boundary Trails Health Centre (BTHC) in the Pembina Valley. She says that for now, she is finished with chemotherapy after completing her round in January.
She’s waiting to see if radiation will be necessary.
Green Party co-leader says removal from leaders' debates is 'undemocratic' ▶️
The stage will look different than originally planned Wednesday night, when Canada's major party leaders square off in the first of two nationally televised debates.
Instead of five podiums on the stage, there will now only be four.
The Green Party had its invitation rescinded less than 12 hours before the debate is set to start, with the Leaders' Debate Commission saying the party no longer met the criteria to be included.
Green Party co-leader Jonathan Pedneault called the "last minute decision" both "unfounded" and "undemocratic."

The funeral service for Helen Klassen nee Friesen will be held Saturday, April 19th at 2pm at Winkler Reinland Mennonite Church with burial at Hochfeld Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler Friday, April 18th from 1 to 7pm.
