Municipal election day in Manitoba has come and gone, and we have all the local results you are looking for below.

Cities, Towns and Municipalities are listed first, with school board trustee elections following.

A number of heads of council in the region had already been confirmed for the next term via acclimation prior to Wednesday's vote.

The following local mayors and reeves were acclaimed to the positions after no other candidates stepped forward during the call for nominations earlier this Fall:

Two people were arrested Tuesday night after police, including the Regional Support Tactical Team, executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in Altona. 
    
According to police, the warrant was granted after an investigation determined that an occupant of the complex, located on 8th Ave NE, was involved in drug trafficking and could be in possession of several firearms. 

The first Colorado low of the season has come and gone in Southern Manitoba, and as forecast, it was a rain event rather than the typical snow we expect from those types of systems.

“With the vast majority of Southern Manitoba staying within the warm side of the low, that meant the precipitation we received remained as rainfall,” explained CMOS Accredited Weathercaster Chris Sumner. “There were on again, off again, showers for much for the day, but based on Rainwatcher reports most of the rain arrived before mid-morning Monday.”

Candidates vying for a seat in Garden Valley School Division's Ward One this election participated in an all-candidates forum Thursday at Emerado Centennial School in Winkler. The event was hosted by the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce.

There are eight people running for six positions in Ward 1 (City of Winkler). 

Two men have been arrested on drug-related charges following an investigation and execution of a search warrant Friday night at a motel in Winkler. 

One person has been charged and another is facing similar charges, following an ongoing drug investigation by Morden Police Service. The pair was arrested Thursday as part of the investigation.

A motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries after an incident yesterday south of Plum Coulee on Provincial Road 306.

Pembina Valley RCMP as well as members of the Plum Coulee Fire Department responded to the call.

According to emergency officials, the motorcycle lost control and left the road, ending up in a nearby corn field. The driver was taken to hospital.

On October 12th, Morden Police issued a warrant of arrest for 40-year-old Bryan Roger Delorme for failing to attend Morden Police Service for identification on October 11th, 2022.     

Meantime, officers arrested a man after attempting to pull over a suspicious vehicle.

The thirteen candidates running for six available seats on Winkler City Council participated in a forum last night, offering voters a chance to hear about their priorities and goals leading up to the October 26th municipal election. The event was hosted by the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce. 

Doctor retention and recruitment, diversity, public transportation, and unity were some of the questions candidates were faced with by City of Winkler residents.

The two candidates running to become the next Mayor for the City of Winkler participated in an all-candidates forum Monday evening, offering voters a chance to hear about their priorities and goals leading up to the October 26th municipal election. The event was hosted by the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce.
