The family of Robert Earl Glover (Bob) are saddened to announce that on February 1, 2024, at the age of 89, Bob passed away suddenly in his home in the company of his daughter, Karen, and his beloved wife, Shirley. Bob was born on the family farm in the Glen Kerr District north of Morse, SK on June 8, 1934. He was raised on the family farm and attended Lady Bank school. In grade eight, “like a fool kid” (Bob’s words), he left school to work on a nearby farm.

Mrs. Evelyn Friesen passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 90 years of age, at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home, with the interment being held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Swift Currrent, SK.

Mr. Jacob Heinrichs of Herbert, SK passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkside Memorial Funeral

Home with the interment being held at the Herbert Cemetery, Herbert, SK.

Mr. F. Ben Dyck passed away on January 6, 2024 at the Altona Community Memorial Health Center in Altona, MB.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Mennonite Church – 78, 6th Ave. NE, Swift Current, SK.

A celebration of life service will take place at Altona Bergthaler Church – 117 2nd St. NW, Altona, MB on February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

LIEBELT – RUBY ALICE was born May 10, 1939 in the RM of Lawtonia, to Gustuv Hahn and Augusta Rodi (Alice) who married June 6, 1926. Gust, eldest son of George and Christina Hahn born in 1905 in Starabol, Russia and they came to Canada in 1910 and grew up in the Scottsburg district. Ruby met her husband Dennis Liebelt in 1957 and they married in Swift Current in 1959. 

Mr. Darcy Vangen passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK.

Darcy was born on November 10, 1964 in Herbert, SK. He was a cuddly, loving little boy, full of smiles, mischief and never sat still. His many interest included shooting the windows out of his grandfather’s Quonset, riding bikes, snowmobiling, horses & Motocross. His greatest love was cars and he was a talented artist, drawing imaginary people, vehicles and real portraits.

Mr. Larry Jaster passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Larry can be made the Salvation Army or to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
