'My life was half and half': How God transformed local artist's life

A new song from a Made in Manitoba artist shares how God transformed the young man's life when he fully committed to following after Jesus. 

Cole Murdock was living what he said was a double life. "I would go to youth group and church and I've had those times and then I'd go to school and parties, all this kind of stuff that the flesh desires." 

Konrad Narth elected MLA for La Verendrye

Konrad Narth has been elected as MLA for La Verendrye and is going into his first term as an MLA.

The PC candidate for La Verendrye was elected Tuesday with 4,831 votes. 

This was a huge lead over the runner-up, Bianca Siem of the NDP at 1,596 votes. 

Narth was happy to see all the support that came through.

“Me as a new candidate, obviously very thankful for the people that brought me here today. It's been a year-long journey from the nomination to where we are now as me being a new MLA.”

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 6th at 7:00pm, the Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg will be holding a fundraising concert in support of their Biennial WMC McLellan Competition at 510 South Drive.

Every two years, the WMC McLellan competition awards $20,000 dollars in cash prizes to three outstanding soloists. The intent of the WMC McLellan Scholarship is to provide career funding and performance opportunities for advanced Manitoba educated musicians pursuing performance careers.
