‘I am hopeful,’ Saskatchewan premier says about Chinese trade

Dangerous person alert results in attempted murder charges
The Saskatchewan RCMP have laid charges as a result of a shooting incident that took place on Muskowekwan First Nation on July 24 that triggered a dangerous person alert.
The incident resulted in a Saskatchewan RCMP officer being shot and injured.
Elijah Albert, 28, of Muskowekwan First Nation has been charged with attempted murder with a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, uttering threats, and pointing a firearm.
Moose Jaw RCMP investigating theft in North Grove
The Moose Jaw RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a theft that took place in North Grove.
Police received the report on July 17 and determined a trailer was stolen from a property on Daniel Drive.
The trailer is described as a black 2017 tri-axle dump trailer with the Saskatchewan license plate 267 KPI. It’s believed the theft occurred sometime between dusk on July 16 and the early morning of July 17.

Man charged after altercation with police in Richmound
A 61-year-old man is facing a list of charges, including assaulting a peace officer, following an incident in Richmound last Friday.
This Friday, the Saskatchewan RCMP announced that Ricky Manz of Richmound has been charged with one count of assault, two counts of assaulting a police officer, one count of resisting arrest, one count of mischief, one count of uttering threats, and one count of obstructing or interfering with an employee or agency of a municipality.
