Family-owned Taxi4U offering affordable airport trips and local rides in Cochrane and surrounding area

When a business grows to more than 10 times its original size in less than 20 years, it’s clearly doing something right.

“My dad and I started out in 2007,” recalls Patrick Wilson, co-owner and manager of Taxi4U. “We successfully went 24/7 from the beginning – as much of a stretch as that was at the time – and we’ve just kind of grown steadily ever since.”

From the pair of vehicles the start-up cab company operated those 17 years ago, Taxi4U has expanded to a fleet of more than 20. And Wilson is under no illusions as to how that success has come about.

The 2024-25 provincial budget delivers the largest-ever increase in health care funding. Take 5 - City App Report an Issue

Rob: Hey, let's talk about the Report for Service app that we can get on our phones. I got the Millennials here at the radio station to help me set it up. I got it on my phone and frankly, it works pretty well. I can book swims at certain times and skip the lineups for people who are waiting to pay. I find that very convenient, and you know if you’re a member or if you bought a punch card, you can punch that in and you can just walk into the pool and skip the line-up and away you go, very convenient.
