Rwandan coffee, bike repairs and live music: La Broquerie Farmers Market in photos

The cool breeze and sunshine paired perfectly with Sunday's La Broquerie Farmers Market.  

Community members from La Broquerie and the surrounding area picked up essentials and discovered unique items from the 18 local vendors offering their goods. 

From handmade signs and tote bags to Rwandan coffee and Saskatoon iced tea, there were many items available at the market. Local musicians also performed for those in attendance.

Fresh produce, swimming and movie nights: What's happening this weekend

A weekend trip to the farmers market is never a bad idea, and this Sunday is the day to go. 

The La Broquerie Farmers Market is this Sunday, July 30, from 11 AM to 3 PM by the cow on Principale St. Market Coordinator Cheryl Beyak says there will be over 15 vendors on site with various fresh produce, local vendors selling their unique items and music to accompany the scene.

Over 220 must-see vehicles on display at MHV's Heritage Classic Car Show

There was only one place to be for car enthusiasts in the southeast on Saturday.  

The Mennonite Heritage Village (MHV) hosted their annual Heritage Classic Car Show, and over 220 cars lined up on the village's Main St. and grounds. It is the most entries they've had from all of the car shows they have hosted. From Mustangs to Cadillacs and everything in between, it was all a sight to see.  

U15 A Girls Softball Provincial Championships in photos

Loaded bases, walk-up music and team spirit are the sights and sounds at the A.D. Penner Park in Steinbach this weekend. 

The U15 A Girls Softball Provincial Championships kicked off on Friday, and many teams and families came to support the athletes in their tournament runs.  

Twenty-eight teams are competing to be provincial champions, including the home team Steinbach Storm.

U13 Eastman Wildcats takes home gold and named provincial champions

Rain or shine, the show must go on.  

That was the story at this weekend’s U13 AAA Girls Provincial Championships at the Friedensfeld Community Centre, where home team Eastman Wildcats clawed their way to the championship game and took home the gold medal. 

They faced the Westman Magic and came away victorious with a final score of 6-5, naming them provincial champions.
