It is with regret and sadness that the family of Dorothy Crealock shares the news of her passing on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Lions Prairie Manor.  Dorothy lived a long and full life until nearly the age of 96.

Paula Martin

September 16, 1951 ~ August 17, 2022

Paula passed away peacefully at her home in Portage la Prairie, MB on August 17, 2022 at the age of 70 years.

Paula will be lovingly remembered by her roommates, Shirley Cockroft and Ruby Peters, and all the staff who knew and supported her throughout the years. She will also be missed by her many friends, including Phyllis Richard, Kelly Urquhart, Patricia Endall and Kenny Jarvie.

Leo Louis Carpenter

Peacefully on Sunday, August 28th, 2022, Leo Carpenter passed away at the Portage and District General Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lois, daughters Lorrie (David) Koroscil, Denise (Dean) Morisseau, granddaughters Jenna, Megan, Hailee, and Erin, brother George (Sharon), sisters Judy Davies and Valarie Cutting, sisters-in-law Margaret Carpenter, Linda Carpenter and Jeanine Carpenter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marjorie Ellen Oldford (nee Owens)

Peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022, Marjorie “Marj” Oldford passed away with family by her side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 71 years.

Peacefully at Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie, MB on August 23, 2022, Darlene Robena Shaw passed away at the age of 83 years.

Predeceased by her husband George Edward Shaw and brother-in-law Bob (Beam), she is survived by her four sons, George (Kathy), Darryl, Scott (Annie) and Greg (Glenda) along with 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sister Gail, brother Wayne (Marilyn) and their families.

Edward Paul “Ted” Jordan

September 4, 1957 – August 21, 2022

Ted’s family is so very sad to announce that he lost a tough fight with cancer at the age of 64 at Portage District General Hospital. He was surrounded by his dearest family and friends during the last days of his life.

Marga Vieweg passed away after a short illness on August 15, 2022 in Portage la Prairie at the age of 95 years.

Alisha Ousman Darar

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alisha Ousman Darar on August 6, 2022 at the age of 17 years.

Alisha was born in Regina, SK on November 10, 2004. She is survived by her siblings Nick, Ishmal, Dwayne, Emilio and Antoinette, mother Lillian Groom and father Abdisalan Darar, as well as her grandmother Jennifer Hudson. Alisha’s connection to her extended family, Heather and George Kerr including their extended family, will be forever cherished.
