I had just completed a manuscript on Philippians, and my heart was full of joy. Not only because I was through (isn't that a wonderful word?) but because joy, the theme of the inspired letter I had spent weeks studying, had rubbed off. It was as if Paul and I had shared the same room and written at the same desk.

MacAulay takes part in World Pork Expo and meets with U.S. Agriculture officials in Iowa and Minnesota

Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay met with U.S. officials last week to strengthen our relationship and share priorities on food production and security.

MacAulay travelled to Des Moines, Iowa, to take part in the World Pork Expo, and met with Iowa's Governor and Secretary of Agriculture where he highlighted the importance of the strong and secure Canada-U.S. agri-food trade relationship and reinforced Canada's role as a reliable and indispensable trading partner.

The Chosen sees record numbers after launching Season 4

It was a successful launch for The Chosen Season 4. 

Since debuting on June 2, The Chosen app climbed to the #1 overall app in the Apple TV App Store. It also hit the #2 spot in the mobile iOS App Store. 

"The numbers are great, but what speaks to us far more are the comments and emotional responses from the viewers. The crying emojis in the chat and the expressions of how much the ending impacted them were overwhelming,” said Dallas Jenkins, creator, producer, director, and writer of the international hit series The Chosen.

Fort St. John RCMP investigate suspicious incident involving young girl

On Thursday, June 6, 2024 Fort St John RCMP were called to a local convenience store on 93rd Ave for a report of a suspicious occurrence.

Once on scene police learned that at approximately 7:25 pm, a man, at the convenience store, approached a young girl, asked her where she lived and if she wanted to go outside to see the puppies inside his car. The young girl said no and had no further interaction with the man. There were no reported injuries.

The Senate Committee on Agriculture releases its new soil health study "Critical Ground"

The Senate Committee on Agriculture has released a new study on Soil Health in Canada.

The new study "Critical Ground: Why Soil is Essential to Canada's Economic, Environmental, Human and Social Health" looks at the current status of our soils and puts forward 25 recommendations for improving and maintaining our soils.

Committee Chair Senator Rob Black says one of the recommendations, and probably one of the most important ones in his mind is for the Federal Government to recognize a sense of urgency and act accordingly to protect and conserve our soils.
