Exodus 2:11–14
Many years later, when Moses had grown up, he went out to visit his own people, the Hebrews, and he saw how hard they were forced to work. During his visit, he saw an Egyptian beating one of his fellow Hebrews. After looking in all directions to make sure no one was watching, Moses killed the Egyptian and hid the body in the sand. (Exodus 2:11–12)

Roads bans in the County of Grande Prairie start Friday
Effective 10:00 a.m., on Friday, March 15, 2024, all gravel roads in the County of Grande Prairie will be restricted to 75% axle weight loading between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. All other roads as posted.

Investigation concludes into release of Saskatchewan man who went on stabbing rampage
An investigation into the statutory release of a man who went on a stabbing rampage in Saskatchewan has released 14 recommendations for the Correctional Service of Canada and the parole board.
The national joint board of investigation into Myles Sanderson was launched soon after the mass stabbing on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the nearby village of Weldon in 2022. Eleven people were killed and 17 others injured as Sanderson went door to door attacking people.
Sanderson, 32, died in police custody a few days after the killings.
Canada responds to 'Product of USA' labeling regulations
Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Lawrence MacAulay, and Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, Mary Ng, released the following joint statement in response to the final rule released by the United States related to the "Product of USA" voluntary labelling regulations for meat, poultry and egg products.
Canadian Grain Commissioner re-appointed
Federal Agriculture Minister Lawrence MacAulay has re-appointed Lonny McKague as Commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission.
McKague has 40 years as a primary producer farming in south-central Saskatchewan in the Ogema area.
He was first appointed to the CGC in 2017.
MacAulay says Lonny McKague’s experience, expertise, and tireless advocacy for Canadian producers are incredibly valuable assets.
"I have no doubt that Lonny will continue to guide the organization in helping to ensure the long-term success of the sector."
Northwestern Alberta Foundation distributes $365,000 for wildfire recovery
The Northwestern Alberta Foundation has distributed over $365,000 to support wildfire recovery in 9 communities.
The Northwestern Alberta Emergency Recovery Fund was established in 2022 in partnership with Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership (GPREP) and Northwestern Alberta Foundation (NAF).
Vilsack announces Voluntary Product of USA Labelling Ruling
The USDA has finalized it's voluntary "Product of USA" labeling rule.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the finalization of a rule at the National Farmers Union Annual Convention yesterday.
According to the new rule to qualify for the label - meat must be derived from animals born, raised, slaughtered, and processed in the U.S.
This could have a major impact on Canadian cattle moving into the U.S.

A pair of popular faith-based movies were recognized at the 31st annual Movieguide Awards.
Sound of Freedom and Jesus Revolution both took home awards. Sound of Freedom received the Faith & Freedom Award for Movies, while Jesus Revolution took home the award for Best Movie for Mature Audiences.
