Today, more than half a million Canadians are living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. By the year 2050, more than 1.7 million people in Canada will be living with dementia, according to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
Linda Wiebe's husband, Herb, is part of that statistic. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2019.
Province offers free entry to provincial parks in mid-July
Families looking for something fun and exciting to do this summer are encouraged to check out one of Manitoba's provincial parks.
Building on the success of last year’s initiative, the Manitoba government is once again offering free entry to provincial parks for a whole week in mid-July, including Canada’s Parks Day weekend, so that visitors can take advantage of these parks.
