Carney says there's 'more work to do' after meeting with Trump
Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to brief Canada's premiers today following his seemingly successful first meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday.
Carney and Trump spent about two hours together at the White House, including about half an hour in front of the cameras in the Oval Office, and a private luncheon.
Both leaders were accompanied by senior members of their cabinets and their chiefs of staff.

Seven children injured after crash involving school bus
Seven children were injured following a crash in southeast Calgary on Tuesday, May 6.
The crash was just before 9 a.m. and involved a black Acura sedan and a school bus at the intersection of 40th Street and 14th Avenue S.E.
According to police, there were seven children on the bus, with all of them treated for minor injuries. However, the drivers of the bus and Acura were not injured.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
Chestermere opens boat launch alongside software update
The City of Chestermere opened up its boat launch on Saturday, May 3.
The city said that the opening comes alongside a software update for registrations.
"Because of the upgrade, everyone must register their boats again this season when you come down to the launch," wrote the city on social media.

Alberta testing emergency alert system this week
The Government of Alberta will be testing its emergency alert system on Wednesday, May 7.
According to a social media post by Rocky View County, the test will be sent out just before 2 p.m.
"It’s only a test, but it’s also a great opportunity to check in with your household and talk about what you would do in a real emergency," wrote the county.
The county also recommends that residents download the Alberta Emergency Alert app on their phones.
Drumheller councillor passes away after battle with cancer
Drumheller councillor Lisa Hansen-Zacharuk passed away over the weekend.
The town announced her passing through social media, saying that she passed after a "long and courageous battle with cancer".
Hansen-Zacharuk was first elected to Drumheller Town Council in October 2010 and served on several community boards.
“Lisa wasn’t just a colleague, she was a dear friend,” said Mayor Heather Colberg. “We shared two terms on Council together, and her passion for this community was second to none."

A southern Alberta egg producer who had been jailed for missing a court date for violating the provincial laws governing egg production has passed a premises inspection by Egg Farmers of Alberta.
Henk Van Essen said an inspector only spent a few minutes inside his operation before coming back out and telling him he was in full compliance.
“They were so sure they were going to find thousands of chickens in this barn,” Van Essen said.
