It is with great sadness that the family of Horst announce his peaceful passing on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the age of 88 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, Elfrieda and Willi; his loving wife Ursula; and numerous family members in Germany.

JOSEPH "JOE" SITAVANC

It is with great sadness that we announce that after a short battle with cancer, Joseph Jack Sitavanc passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7th, 2023.  He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Jenny Allan; and brothers, Arthur and George.  Joe is survived by his sister, Edna Olson; son, Brad (Michelle) Sitavanc; daughter, Roberta Bellerose (Gord Petruk); son-in-law, Kevin Allan; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Marvin Donald Dunbar passed peacefully on to his heavenly home the morning of Monday, October 9th, 2023 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK - exactly 11 months after his wife, Darlene.

James (Jim) Robert Laybourne, cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday October 3rd, 2023 at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK.  He was predeceased by his parents, James Henry and Myrtle (Ector) Laybourne.

December 21st, 1930 - October 6th, 2023

Herbert Michael Schmidt passed away Friday, October 6th, 2023 in Moose Jaw, SK at the age of 92 years.

LORNE ALVIN HERON

Lorne was born on May 26th, 1945 at Moose Jaw, SK to Anne and Alvin Heron.  He passed away Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 at the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Regina, SK.  He was predeceased by his parents, and by his infant son Alvin.  Lorne is survived by his wife, Mickey; daughters: Keri (Terry), Shawna, and Tanya (Dave); grandchildren: Darian, Justin, Tre, and Matt; great-grandson, Jacob; sister, Janice; brother, Stew (Lorraine); brother-in-law, D’Arce; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Mildred Joan From (“Millie”) of Moose Jaw, SK, peacefully entered the presence of her Saviour on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the age of ninety years. She was predeceased by her husband, Lenard; parents, Marvin and Edith; sister, Elizabeth; and infant daughter, Carolyn.  Millie is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Ken); children: Joel (Beckie), Barbara (Jonathan), Wesley (Pamela), and Derek (Melissa); as well as eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

GERALDINE BAKER

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Geraldine Baker. Geraldine died unexpectedly at Health Sciences Centre on September 3, 2023, at the age of 84. She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and true friend. Geraldine (nee Maier) was the eldest daughter, born to Elizabeth (nee Schuett) and Joseph Maier in Briercrest, Saskatchewan.
