Trudy Violet Munroe

Trudy Violet Munroe, age 85 passed away peacefully December 10, 2022, in the Moose Jaw Hospital. She was born March 13, 1937, in Moose Jaw. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life George Munroe in 1955, who preceded her death in 1988. Later married Pete Bertolotti in BC, divorced and came back to Sask.

Glen Dale Reed

It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Glen Dale Reed, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather on Sunday November 27, 2022, in Moose Jaw Sask. at the age of 85.

Glen moved from Bengough SK to Regina in his twenty’s where he began his 37-year career at the Co-Op Refinery and married Sharon, his wife of 59 years. Glen retired from the refinery in 1994 when he and Sharon moved to Alta Vista where they lived 23 wonderful years at the lake before moving to Moose Jaw in 2017.

Susanne Fehr

Susanne Fehr aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, Sk passed away on Thursday November 24, 2022. Susanne was born March 11, 1940, to Jacob and Helena, the 10th of 15 children. Susanne attended school in Neuanlage, Sk. She became a baker for numerous years, followed by a wonderful homemaker while looking after her 5 children and ensuring her daughter (Lindsay) made all her required doctors’ appointments. One of her favorite things was making meals for the holidays whenever she knew the family was coming home.

Gloria Winnifred Bassett (Peckham)

 

 

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Gloria Bassett announce her passing on November 25th, 2022 at the age of 86. Gloria was born on November 29th, 1935 in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. She is predeceased by her husband Lloyd; parents, William and Lilian; and sister Victoria.

 

Gloria is survived by her children: Brent (Cathie) Bassett, Denise (Paul) Beckett, and Larry (Tara) Bassett; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brother Bill (Ann) Peckham.

 

Arlene Grace Klein (Priestley)

The Family of Arlene Grace Klein (Priestley) is saddened to announce her passing on November 2, 2022. She was born May 26, 1968. Arlene is predeceased by her parents Herb and Grace; grandmother Alice Lawson. Arlene will be forever missed by her husband John; three sons Adam (Kaley), Dylan (Sydney), and Jackson; grandchildren Adrian Gerhardt and Raven Grace as well as her bother Hal.

James Morrison

James Morrison, 83, of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2022, with his three kids by his side. Jim was born on August 15, 1939, to Bill and Sarah Morrison. He was raised on the homestead farm at N.W. 6-6 23W. His first job was with the town of Hartney and the roads department.

Later he moved to Moose Jaw, where he met his lovely wife Trudy at a curling rink. They were married in 1980 and remained together until her passing earlier this year. After retiring from the Pioneer Grain Elevator, he drove a school bus for 18 years and the kids absolutely loved him.

Joseph Bellefleur

Joseph Lionel Bellefleur departed his loving family on October 24, 2022, aged 94. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Jean-François and Lillian Bellefleur, his beloved wife of 70 years, Eleanor, older siblings Francis, Lillian, Beatrice, and Marion, oldest son, Glenn, and son-in-law, Rick.

Allan Emerson Griffith

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Allan Emerson Griffith on October 17, 2022, at the age of 96 years.  Al was the eldest son of George and Daisy Griffith, also of Moose Jaw.  He is predeceased by his wife, Vivien, in 2007 and brother, Barry, in 2019.   Al served in the Canadian Armed Forces, enlisting as a teenager in 1945, but did not see any action.  He spent two months in basic training and the last four as a discharge clerk.  After the war, he met his wife Vivien (Machan) while working at the CP freight office.  They were later married in 1948.

Susan Schimpf-Stubner

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Schimpf-Stubner, Nee: Funk, announce her passing.  Susan was predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Funk, her siblings, Mary (her twin sister), Helen, Henry, Elizabeth and Eddie.  The siblings she leaves behind are Ruth, Dora, Danny, Dave and Delmer.  Susan was a resident of Providence Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  She was born on August 15, 1929, and was raised on a homestead near Carrot River, Saskatchewan.
