Roger Louis Arendt

October 10, 1949 – July 26, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and dear friend, Roger Louis Arendt, after a lengthy illness. Roger passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred Beatrice Wiley and Francis Roy Arendt, and his brothers, Gerry Arendt and Bud Arendt.

Celebration of Life in Honor of

Gladys Irene Nelson

A celebration of life will be held on August 24th,2025, in the honor of Gladys Nelson who left us on June 4, 2025, at the age of 84.

Gladys loved the simple pleasures of life and often took it upon herself to play cards or board games with her friends, go camping to sit around a crackling camp fire to roast hotdogs and prepare wonderful meals for large family reunions. 

Charles Harvey Smith 

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Gwendolyn Carol Ayerst (Cheesman) on November 29, 2024. Gwen was born on October 4, 1953. She was raised in Moose Jaw; however, she loved living on the farm for the few years she did. Gwen was a single mom who raised two strong-willed boys and was often looking after her family. She was an iron willed, hardworking dependable women who could be strict and give tough love but very friends and protective. Gwen worked at Town n’ Country mall for 25 years up until her retirement.

It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of William Lloyd Smith of Moose Jaw, SK, on December 5, 2024, at the age of 79 after his final battle with cancer 

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to Patricia Elliot on November 18, 2024. Pat was born on April 27, 1938.  

The family of Patricia Edwardine Mathieson sadly announces her passing on November 15, 2024. Patricia was born to William and Edwardine Hopps on Dec 2, 1931. She spent her early years on South Hill attending King Edward School, and later Central Collegiate. Pat's first job was with the T. Eaton Co., where she met her future husband, Jack. They were married on Sept 3, 1955, and made Moose Jaw their home. After raising her young family, Pat studied both bookkeeping and nutrition and began a successful career as a business owner, operating the Moose Jaw Health Supply Store for many years.

John Frederick Bonter 

John Frederick Bonter passed away quietly in the early morning of Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on March 4, 1942, to Edward Wesley and Ella Irene Bonter in Sapperton, BC, John was one of their five siblings, and the family lived mainly in the City of Surrey, British Columbia. John worked in Accounting and also extensively in Long Distance Trucking. Over a decade ago, John moved back to his desired Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, near what was Moose Jaw Bible College, now Aldersgate College, where he loved his studies in his youth. 

Alec Donald Pattison came into this world in a hurry, and he never stopped. He was always busy, never stopping to take a breath. When it came to fixing anything most came his way, whether it be bikes, cars, or snowmobiles, he could fix anything. His smile could light up a room, and he could talk his way into, or out of just about anything.

We will miss you my son, but now you are at peace, and you can finally rest. I am sure you made many friends from Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan, and to those, I wish you peace as well.
