Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), says over the next week, the weather pattern will flip and there will be some flurries in the forecast as soon as this weekend.

Weyburn Scouts to collect bottles for camps and supplies this Saturday

The 5th Weyburn Scouts Group is organizing a bottle drive on Saturday, October 19th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event, supporting Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers aged five and up, will help the youth earn funds for camps, camping supplies, and other activities.

"We started our program this September and have already had a camp," said Scout Lise, a 5th Weyburn Scouting Group representative.

Claudia Littlefair to chat about 50th anniversary of local square-dancing group

A regular guest on the 104.5 More Country morning show Claudia Littlefair will join Keesyn Glawson to discuss the square-dancing group the Wheatland Whirlers.

The organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary with food, dancing, and a special guest, Gary Winter, an international square dancer.

Littlefair will join the morning show at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 16) to chat about everything you need to know about the upcoming event.

Shock House back in Moose Jaw for 2024

This Halloween, Moose Javians will be in for a shock the rest of October.

The Moose Jaw Shock House is setting up this week at the Town n' Country Mall (1235 Main St. N) for ten nights of horror-filled fun. This will be a large walk-through "Haunted House" with live actors, props, sounds, various lighting, and lots of screams! The Shock House will be open 7 - 10 PM on the following days: October 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, and November 1.

No stone left alone: Honoring fallen veterans in Rocky View County

Rocky View County will host the annual No Stone Left Alone ceremony at the Garden of Peace Cemetery on November 6 at 11 a.m.

According to the county, the event is meant to honour those who fought for our freedom, symbolizing that none of them are alone or forgotten.

No Stone Left Alone is an annual ceremony held before Remembrance Day, launched by the No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation.
