2025 high school football regular season schedule
As the school year is set to begin next week, the high school football season will be up and running next week.
9-man and 6-man football teams in the area have already begun preparing for the 2025 season.
Here are the schedules for the 2025 season for the local teams.

Humboldt RCMP investigating attempted theft of lawn mower
Humboldt RCMP are looking for more information about an individual involved in the attempted theft of a lawn mower.
Overnight between August 19 and August 20, unknown individuals attempted to steal a zero-turn mower from a business located on the East side Humboldt along Highway 5. The suspects drove the mower through a planted field causing damage before abandoning it at an approach to a grid road.
84-year-old woman dies in collision near Duck Lake
An 84-year-old female from Prince Albert has died following a fatal collision near Duck Lake.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway #11 and Highway #212, with two vehicles colliding on Friday, August 22, shortly after 2:30 pm.
No other injuries have been reported.

CTF calls for fuel tax reform as the cost of living outpaces wage increases
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is calling on the provincial government to make life more affordable by cutting the tax on fuel.
A release from the CTF explains that the cost of living in Saskatchewan has increased by about 17 per cent over the last five years, with food specifically costing Saskatchewanians about 27 per cent more.
Meanwhile, wages only increased by about nine per cent during the same time period, pushing people towards a need for relief.
Farmland a buyers’ market?
The farmland market in Saskatchewan may be tilting toward the buyer.
It’s not there yet because sellers still have the upper hand, but real estate agents in the province say more land may soon come up for sale, thus tipping the scales in favour of buyers.
As of August 2025, 265 farmland properties were posted on the MLS system in Saskatchewan. That’s down drastically from 2020, when the number of farms for sale was close to 500.
