High-speed traffic stop on Highway 6 leads to drug, cash seizure
A speeding vehicle on Highway 6 in the RM of Coldwell has led to a seizure of methamphetamine, cellphones, and about $20,000 in cash, according to West Interlake RCMP.
Just before 2 a.m. on July 23, officers stopped a vehicle travelling 157 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone, near the intersection of Road 138 North. RCMP say three women were in the vehicle at the time.

The new Portage Regional Health Centre is on track to complete construction by late 2025 or early 2026, with staff training, equipment setup and final preparations scheduled to follow in the months ahead.
"We expect to have operational control by early 2026," says Implementation Lead Kyle MacNair. "That’s when we’ll begin training staff, installing equipment, and preparing the site for patient care."
