Westberry Grade 1's are January's classroom of the month

Grade 1's at Westberry School in Kindersley got the honour of being the first Classroom of the Month for 2024. 

The lucky students received a visit from Country 104 staff who brought pizza from Boston Pizza Kindersley and made it a memorable experience. Mrs. Moffat and Mrs. Renaud teach the class and a nice message was included in the classes nomination. 

"Mrs. Moffat is an amazing teacher and her class has been working very hard learning, reading and writing this school year!"

Classroom of the Month January 2024: Mrs. Henry's grade 6, 7, & 8 split class at Weldon School

In the cozy halls of Weldon School in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, something extraordinary happened in January – the mega-class of Mrs. Henry's grade 6, 7, & 8 split had a momentous win as they snagged the Classroom of the Month title! And leading this lively bunch was the one and only Lexus.

Classroom of the Month visits Sacred Heart School

Classroom of the Month presented by Town & Country Plumbing Heating Electrical was at Sacred Heart School to kick off the new year.

We stopped by Mr. Joseph Jakubowski's grade 6 class at Sacred Heart School.

Better late than never: Maxwell wins the December Clasroom of the Month

On the 19th of January, in the midst of winter, the Classroom of the Month team descended upon Hillcrest School to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one!

After a week of intense study and indoor recess, Maxwell and his classmates in Ms. D'Aoust's grade 2/3 class were ready to let loose and eat some delicious food! Their enthusiasm and excitement reached new heights as they became the delayed but much-anticipated recipients of the December Classroom of the Month, a heartwarming initiative brought to you by SUN 102.

Snowflakes and smiles: Celebrating November's Classroom of the Month with Maddie and Mrs. Baumann's Grade 2

In the midst of a winter wonderland on December 8, amidst a heavy snowstorm, SUN 102 brought a touch of warmth to Spruce Ridge School by celebrating November's Classroom of the Month. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the enthusiasm of Mrs. Baumann's Grade 2 class shone through, with Maddie leading the way as the deserving winner.

November Classroom of the Month lands in Kindersley

Before November came to a close it was time to highlight a certain class in West Central Saskatchewan. Elizabeth Middle School's grade 7 class in Kindersley taught by Ms. Khonke ended the 11th month of the year with a celebration for being the Classroom of the Month

The distinct honour comes with a visit from Country 104, a little bit of bragging rights and a delicious pizza lunch courtesy of Boston Pizza in Kindersley.

Biggar class hits it big with October's Classroom of the Month

Another edition of Classroom of the Month is in the books and students at one Biggar school enjoyed being in the spotlight in October.

The grade 3/4 classroom at St. Gabriel School were selected as October's Classroom of the Month which goes along with special recognition, a visit from Country 104 and a delicious lunch courtesy of Boston Pizza Kindersley. 

Grade 5/6 class in Kerrobert recognized as September's classroom of the month

School has been back in session for nearly a month now and one lucky class started their school year off with a big reward. 

The grade 5/6 class at Kerrobert Composite School was recognized as Country 104.9's Classroom of the Month for September. The students along with their teacher Mrs. Kraft and Mrs. Whetter were treated to a delicious lunch courtesy of Boston Pizza in Kindersley. 

Team of the Month wraps up!

Our summer variation of Classroom of the Month finished up this week after making a stop to two youth teams in the West Central region. Team of the Month shined the spotlight on sports teams who were nominated for their sportsmanship and performance during their season(s). 

The July Team of the Month went to the U11 Kindersley Royals baseball team who capped off their season with a Tier 6 AA Provincial title.

Meanwhile, the August Team of the Month was awarded to the U17 Rosetown Angels softball team who managed to win bronze at 'B' Provincials last month.
