In November of 2023, a dedicated group of people formed a committee and presented their intentions to the public. Their plan? To build The INN.  

“At that time, Steinbach City Council told us very clearly, that whatever we do, it must be done right, and we must build within the zoning requirements. And so, a year later, we’re back to report on our progress!”  

This from Board Chair Leona Doerksen, who sat down to answer some frequently asked questions: 

Q: What are you doing to ensure it’s being “done right”?  

There was a time when a farm or estate auction meant Brad Kehler would be pulling up in his sound truck to provide live auctioneering. Those days aren’t necessarily over, although the auction sales industry has certainly had to adapt to new technology and more agile buyers. 

Step outside your custom home and follow a trail along the meandering creek. It isn’t long before you cross a bridge and you’re at the grocery store, at a restaurant, at your favourite coffee place. You’ve probably waved to a neighbour or three along your way, too.

Developing at the northwestern edge of Steinbach, Langill Farm is the brainchild of Dan Reimer and Dan Bickerton.
