A dinosaur fossil found in the Alberta badlands has revealed new details about the diet of young meat-eating tyrannosaurs.

The research, published Friday in the journal Science Advances, is based on a well-preserved Gorgosaurus libratus specimen discovered in 2009 by a technician from the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, Alta.

"We describe the first tyrannosaur skeleton found with prey items preserved inside the stomach," Darla Zelenitsky, an associate professor in the department of earth, energy and environment at the University of Calgary, said in an interview.

A company that runs a commercial kitchen at the centre of an E. coli outbreak at multiple Calgary daycares has entered a not guilty plea to municipal bylaw charges.

The City of Calgary charged Fueling Minds Inc. and its two directors, Faisal Alimohd and Anil Karim, in September with serving food at child care centres without a food services business licence. They face 12 charges and a total fine of up to $120,000.

The new president of the Alberta Medical Association says doctors are apprehensive about expected changes to the province's health-care delivery system as they deal with ongoing pressures in clinics and hospitals.

Dr. Paul Parks, also an emergency room doctor, has been touring the province to hear from other physicians about their concerns.

"Our system is having some serious difficulties," Parks told reporters Thursday during an online news conference.

Brandy Hehn was a regular in the kidney dialysis unit at the Regina General Hospital when the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash happened five years ago.

Sixteen people died and 13 were injured after a transport truck went through a stop sign and into the path of a bus carrying the Saskatchewan junior hockey team on April 6, 2018.

Hehn, now 39, remembers a nurse walking into the room where she was getting a dialysis treatment a couple days later and commenting on the crash.
