It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Aldridge Laybourne aged 68 years of Tugaske, SK, passed away on Friday, January 17th, 2025.  John was born on September 23rd, 1956, in Central Butte, SK to parents, James and Myrtle Laybourne and grew up on the family farm north of Tugaske.

DONALD JOSEPH NORDIN

August 12th, 1932 – January 16th, 2025

Don’s prayers were answered at noon on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, when his Lord took him home.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Arnold; and is survived by his siblings: Harold (Jeannette), Esther, and Philip (Joan); as well as extended family.  Don will be deeply missed by his wife of over 70 years, Joyce; children: Lynette (Jim), Dorlyn (Debbie), and Sherri; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Irene Poelzer passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6th, 2025, in Craik, SK. Born on July 6th, 1925, in Tuxford, SK, Elizabeth, affectionately known as "Betty," was the cherished only child of Clarice and Elliot Ranson. A tomboy and a daddy's girl, she loved helping her father with chores and projects around the house and yard.

In the early morning of Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, after Sheila singing Amazing Grace for what seemed like the millionth time, Violet Elizabeth Talock was reunited with her husband Fred, daughter Arlene, and son Barry in Heaven.  Violet was born on December 3rd, 1928, in Scobey, Montana, and lived her childhood days on a ranch in Scout Lake, SK.  She later lived in Regina and then Moose Jaw, SK.

Lawrence “Larry” Francis Ozog aged 72 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, with his daughter and loved ones by his side.  A full obituary will follow. Barry Aaron Widenmaier of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2024, at 74 years of age.

Barry, or Bubba, as he was affectionately known, was born in Bienfait, Saskatchewan. All his schooling took place in Moose Jaw which has been his home ever since.

John Andrew Larmour

John Andrew Larmour aged 91 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.  He was predeceased by his parents, Andy and Hilda Larmour; brothers, William “Bill” Larmour and Robert “Bob” Larmour; sister, Mary Larmour; and infant daughter, Sheila Larmour.  John is survived by his son, Brent (Susan) Larmour and their son Andrew; daughter, Shelda Larmour; and brother, Sam Larmour.    

Beverly & Victor Locken

 

LOCKEN

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly J. Locken on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, who left us peacefully, surrounded by family at the age of 87 years.  Beverly was much loved by her husband of 67 years, Victor L. Locken who followed her 11 days later on Wednesday, December 25th, 2024, at the age of 89 years.  They are together again, forever.

Victor and Beverly are survived by their daughter, Wendy (Rod) Scorgie, their son Micheal (Karen), and their grandson, Joshua Scorgie.
