Winnipeg is seeing less than 30 new COVID-19 cases.

Sixty-one new COVID-19 cases are being identified in Manitoba on Tuesday.

New cases include:

  • 29 cases in the Winnipeg health region
  • 15 cases in the Northern health region
  • 11 cases in the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region
  • six cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region

There are no new cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region.

Manitoba's five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 6.3 per cent. Winnipeg's is 5.8 per cent. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 56,097 with 1,408 of those active and 53,550 recovered. 

There are no new COVID-19 deaths Tuesday. The total number of deaths in people with COVID-19 is 1,139.

There are 181 Manitobans in hospital due to COVID-19. This includes 171 people in hospital in Manitoba, with 90 of those active COVID-19 cases and 81 people in hospital with COVID-19 who are no longer infectious.

There are 59 Manitoba patients receiving intensive care for COVID-19 including 28 people in intensive care units in Manitoba with active COVID-19 as well as 21 people with COVID-19 who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care. Ten opele are receiving ICU care in Ontario.

To date, 36 patients previously receiving care in an out-of-province ICU have now been returned to Manitoba hospitals.

The outbreaks have been declared over at Seven Oaks General Hospital 3U4-7 and the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre both in Winnipeg.
