Elizabeth Hanna
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth Hanna on January 5, 2024, with family by her side. Liz was born January 24, 1932. Liz grew up in Regina and attended Westmore School. She went to Balfour Tech and took a business course. She worked for John Deere from 1947 – 1952 when she had to take leave due to health reasons and started to work for the Department of Highways once she had recovered. It was while working with the department of Highways she met Garth Hanna and they were married in 1957. She continued to work for the Department of Highways until 1959. They moved to Cardross in 1964 and they continued to help on the family farm until 1976 when they took over the farm. Elizabeth was always involved in her community and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents; her husband Garth; son Stewart; daughter Maureen; sisters Kay and Barbara and brother John.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Scott (Debbie), Rodney (Tracy) and Darcy; grandchildren Jamie (Ashley), Darren (Hannah), Chris (Jill), Ryan, Laura-Lee, and Leah; three great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
At Elizabeth’s request no funeral service will be held.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Moose Jaw Special Care Home “Extendicare” for their kindness and compassion.
