The lowest number of COVID-19 enforcement tickets and warnings that have been seen in weeks was given out last week in Manitoba.

Between June 28 to July 4, 58 warnings and 24 tickets were given out to Manitobans. The week before saw 62 warnings and 37 tickets.

Of the tickets, one is for failure to wear a mask in an indoor public place and one is given to a grocery store in Steinbach. The other 22 tickets are individual tickets.

Of the individual tickets, 13 were for gathering in private residences or outdoors, eight for not self-isolating, and one is given to a business in Grand Marais.

"Enforcement officials continue to investigate all large gatherings and rallies they are made aware of," the province says in a statement.

Since April, 5,030 warnings and 2,040 tickets amounting to close to $2.8 million in fines have been issued by some of the province's 3,300 agencies authorize to give COVID-19 enforcement tickets, including the RCMP.
