The Grade 1/2 classes at Morris School were thrilled with their free books from Friesens in Altona, and were quite excited to show them off for the camera

CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Host Chris Sumner was at Morris School Wednesday for an I Love to Read stop with the Grade 1/2 classes there. Jayden from Friesens Yearbook division joined him for the fun, and of course shared our featured book “Fishing With Grandma” by Maren Vsetula and Susan Avingaq, illustrated by Charlene Chua and published by Inhabit Media.

The book was a big hit, because a lot of the students had gone ice fishing or "Summer" fishing with their families. That was before they found out they each would be taking a copy home with them for being awesome listeners.

Chris chatted with a few of the students after our reading time was over. They were Sophia, Aspen, Ashley, Cruz and Brentley. you can listen to that conversation below.
