Manitoba RCMP officers are conducting an inquiry into a homicide case, which was first reported to police on Wednesday.
Virden RCMP says that on March 6, at around 10:05 a.m., a First Nation Safety Officer responded to a well-being check at a Sioux Valley Dakota Nation residence. Upon arrival, the officer discovered a deceased 64-year-old man from Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
Virden RCMP attended, and the matter is being investigated as a homicide.
Virden RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
