The Sask Valley Hockey League season wrapped up on Tuesday night as the Kenaston Blizzards captured the title with a 5-3 win over the visiting Dinsmore Dynamos.
The Blizzards, who won the best-of-five series 3-1, also earned a provincial Senior A championship on Sunday with a 10-5 win over the Lumsden Monarchs to complete a two-game sweep. Kenaston also won the provincial Senior C title last season.
This year's provincial Senior C championship will be decided this weekend as the Kyle Elks head to Wilkie to take on the Outlaws on Friday, needing a win to force a third and deciding game in Kyle on Saturday. Kyle fell to the Dynamos in the SVHL semi-final series while the Outlaws dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to Kindersley on Tuesday night in the fifth and deciding game of the Sask West Hockey League championship, as the Senior Klippers won their first league title since 2013.
