Tons of fishing and fun was had last weekend as the Kenora Bass International wrapped up their 2021 tournament.

“It was an interesting one, it was good, we enjoyed it. There was a lot of new stuff to consider and lots of stuff that we usually do that we weren’t able to do, but overall I think it was awesome,” said Cori Libitka Co-Chair of KBI

Due to COVID-19 no spectators or crowds were allowed in attendance, but KBI along with WOLFE Sound Production did provide a live stream of the event's daily take-offs and weigh-ins, which allowed fans and families to tune in.

“We have nothing but positive things to say. All the feedback from people in the community, the anglers, and their family members was 1000 percent positive, the WOLFE team did an amazing job, nothing but positive feedback from everybody,” added Libitka

In total 115 teams took to the water this year, with Ian Waterer of Winnipeg and Motei Demers of Keewatin winning KBI.

Their tournament total was 54.83 lbs after they caught 20.19 lbs of fish on day one, 17.49 lbs on day two, and 17.15 lbs of fish on the final day.

Over the course of the three-day tournament, 1680 fish were caught weighing 5,216.37 lbs.
