Incident at Selkirk daycare results in arrest and charges

On Monday, April 22, at around 11:30 a.m., RCMP responded to a report of an indecent act at a daycare on Morris Avenue in Selkirk.

It was reported a man exposed himself in front of children and staff and then left on foot. An employee immediately contacted police and provided a description.

RCMP arrived and began making patrols in the area but did not locate the suspect.

A second call was received at around 1:45 p.m. advising that the suspect had returned to the area. Officers attended and he was arrested without incident.

The 44-year-old man is facing a charge of Indecent Act. He was released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
