Remi Rheault has his eyes set on bringing the voices of Northwestern Ontario to Ottawa.

Rheault is the Kenora riding’s Green Party candidate for the upcoming federal election, that takes place on September 20, 2021.

“I want to bring the people's voices to the House of Commons. It’s very important that people have a voice. The Green Party structure is not your classical structure, it’s grassroots, which means every Green MP that will be in that house, those constituents will have a voice and that voice will be heard, and that’s what I want to bring out there,” said Rheault.

“I’m fighting for every other kid, every child in this riding so that they have a place to live and they have a future,” added Rheault.

Rheault’s platform moving forward will be addressing the climate change crisis, and for people to learn from the elders of Turtle Island.

“There are so many things that are taught, within the First People of Turtle Island, that we can learn from….respect, they talk about everything and it is all interconnected. If we don’t have a planet to live on, we don’t have a planet to give to the next seven generations,” says Rheault.

If elected Rheault’s first priority is to work with the First People of Turtle Island and give Indigenous people a voice and that voice be heard, which in conclusion will help combat climate change, inequalities, and injustices.

His campaign strategy is to get out and see the people and let their voices be heard.
