Restoring freedom of expression to Canadians is one of the major building blocks of Martin’s campaign.

The latest candidate in the Kenora riding has been named for this year's federal election.

Yesterday, Craig Martin an acupuncturist from Kenora announced he will be representing the People’s Party of Canada.

“The political situation in Canada had eroded so badly, that I started looking for an avenue to do it and then when I came across the People’s Party of Canada and saw the platform, it fell in line with my personal views on how government should be run, so I started pursuing membership and then a candidacy,” said Martin

Restoring freedom of expression to Canadians is one of the major building blocks of Martin’s campaign.

“The loss of freedom of expression is the beginning of the downfall of democracy. The current coalition of government led by the Liberals has censored Canadians including the press and it's actually moving towards further censorship. The coalition of the government has also ignored the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms,” added Martin

If elected to the Kenora riding his first priority is to help contain the forest fire situation in NWO. His plan is to push for a federal fire brigade that is routed through the Canadian Armed Forces with air and infantry to move around the country to tackle forest fires. In addition, the fire brigade will help with protecting the environment.

Another key issue Martin wants to tackle is allowing Indigenous people to own their own property on Indigenous land. He will try to open up lines of communication between the band and the members.

Martin joins incumbent Conservative MP Eric Melillo, Liberal candidate David Bruno, Janine Seymour of the NDP, and Remi Rheault of the Green Party on the ballot.
