Manitoba's public health team and front-line healthcare workers are being inducted into the Order of the Buffalo Hunt.
On Tuesday morning, Chief Public health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin and Chief Nursing Officer Lanette Siragusa stand in the Legislative Building's Rotunda, listening to the echoing of praises.
“Manitoba’s public health team and our front-line healthcare workers have shown extraordinary dedication, hard work and perseverance to keep Manitobans safe through the COVID-19 pandemic,” Premier Brian Pallister says in a statement.
Roussin, on behalf of Manitoba's public health team which he is the leader of, accepted the award. Roussin is also the co-lead of the COVID-19 incident command committee.
Siragusa is accepting on behalf of front-line healthcare workers and the other co-lead of the COVID-19 incident command committee. Siragusa is Shared Health's lead for its health system integration.

The Order of the Buffalo Hunt is given to people with outstanding skills in leadership, service, and community commitment, ranging from the sciences, social work, and the arts. It is given at the discretion of the Premier.
