Are you planning some spring cleaning or renovations? The Airdrie Waste Department has just the event to help you declutter and safely dispose of hazardous materials.
On June 15th, residents of Airdrie and Rocky View can participate in a hazardous waste roundup and shredding event. This is a fantastic opportunity to get rid of those unwanted household chemicals and documents that have been piling up. The first 100 participants in the Hazardous Waste Roundup will receive a free household hazardous waste kit as well.
Event Details:
- Date: June 15th
- Hazardous Waste Roundup: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 21 East Lake Hill
- Shredding Event: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 15 East Lake Hill
The event is free for residents of Airdrie and Rocky View County. There is a list of items that are acceptable to bring for disposal.
- Hazardous Waste: Paint and household chemicals in their original, sealed containers (20 litres or less), labelled with one of the four hazardous symbols.
- Documents for Shredding: Any papers cluttering your cabinets that need secure disposal.
Shelly Slavinsky from the City of Airdrie Waste Department encourages everyone to take advantage of this event.
