Vaccination numbers in the City and County of Grande Prairie below 50%

As of August 24, 2021 the City of Grande Prairie has 375 active cases of COVID-19, and the County of Grande Prairie has 177 cases.

Cases of COVID-19 across the rest of the province also remain high. Alberta now has 8,496 active cases of the virus. 

Hospitalizations have risen to 284, and a total of 59 Albertans are in intensive care receiving treatment. 

As of August 22, 2021,

• 5,511,274 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered
• 77.5% of Albertans 12+ with at least one dose
• 69% of Albertans 12+ fully vaccinated

Grande Prairie vaccination numbers have increased to 49.1% immunized with at least one dose, and 47.9% in the County of Grande Prairie.
